Hondurenos was a brand new opportunity buy that just hit the dock, and it brings fat, fat savings and super low per stick buy-in price. Even the biggest 6x60 sizes are just pennies on the ducket. A few months back we were milling around the Raices Cubanas factory in Honduras and noticed they had a sizeable load of unbanded cigars in the aging room with no home.
You may have heard the name Raices Cubanas - this is the factory that makes several of the top blends for Alec Bradley, Viaje, Padilla, and Illusione, among others. Like other Overruns we scoop up, these 'Hondurenos' are all full long-filler goodness, just excess production of existing blends, some in odd or discontinued sizes, and all with no home. Until now.
Each vitola varies in flavor profile, but the common thread with Raices-made cigars is a medium-bodied strength level and a signature earthy, slightly spicy-sweet character.
